CEO
Robert has a wide breadth of experience engineering systems for aerospace, self-driving cars and robotics. Prior to co-founding Reliable Robotics, Robert led teams at Tesla, SpaceX, and X (Google’s skunkworks division). As Senior Director of Autopilot at Tesla, Robert was responsible for the first car with unassisted driving capability. At SpaceX Robert led the department that created the on-board software for the first commercial mission to the International Space Station. Robert began his career as a Game Engine Programmer at Sony PlayStation where he developed three Game of the Year award-winning titles. Robert holds an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.
CTO
With over 25 years experience in aeronautical and space operations, John has led projects and teams at top companies in aviation and aerospace. Prior to co-founding Reliable Robotics, John was the Chief Technical Officer for Azul Airlines and helped multiple airlines modernize their operations. John has served as head of Launch Systems at Virgin Orbit, Senior Director of Launch and Mission Operations at SpaceX, and Director of Crew Operations at JetBlue. An accomplished pilot and instructor in the US Navy, John holds an ATP, Commercial Single- and Multi-Engine, Instrument Rating and an MS in Aerospace Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
VP Engineering
After completing his education at Technikum Winterthur In Switzerland, Juerg immigrated to the United States to develop hardware and electrical systems for aviation and automotive applications before joining the early team at SpaceX. At SpaceX, Juerg led the team developing the compute platforms for the Falcon 9 launch vehicle and the Dragon spacecraft.
